The donations will support The
“In–Tune” Project to provide an array of services to the
community. Youth and their families will be offered a
comprehensive innovative approach to service delivery
that is designed to educate and empower them. The
services and activities offered will avert and redirect
them from the negative social ills that exist within
their community. The “In-Tune” Project activities will
be scheduled regularly from Mondays through Fridays and
weekends, that will include services as outline below:
Individual and family counseling
and therapy Additional sessions will be scheduled on
an as needed basis
Life skills workshops to cover
such topics as budgeting, personal hygiene, manners
and etiquette provided on a weekly basis
A Mentoring program supported by
volunteers and interns from Morehouse School of
Medicine, Argosy University School of Professional
Psychology, Christ the Lord Church of Atlanta and
New Directions Missionary Church
Arts and crafts classes
supervised by a certified artist and visual art
instructor
Providing recreational activities
(bowling, movies, plays, fishing, swimming, cultural
events).
Participation in Call To Manhood
and Call To Womanhood organized by Fulton County
government.
“Our Youth Speak” forum
engagements with special invitation to prominent
public figures.
Annual out-of-state trips to
broaden the horizons of youth.
Funding the “In-Tune”
choir to reach out to the community to support the
agency’s mission under the guidance of a Masters
Degree level musician. YAGC will award one youth
participant a year with a scholarship to pursue
music career and/or education. |
