TRANSITIONAL HOUSING
This
housing status is the resident consumer
demonstration period for those who have obtained
stable school status, gainfully employment and
followed the agency rules and regulations. Youth in
this housing category has established a reasonable
budget with personal income and also open a bank
account saving 30 to 40% of their income and the
average time of stay is two to three months. They
can be referred from state and other service
organizations, most are displaced because of lack of
support from parents. In 2006 over 35% of our youth
came in on emergency basis and transition to this
status in a 32 day period of consistent lodging.
